One of Lion of Africa's clients bumped my car in a parking lot (his door knocked my car door when he opened it) and he kindly left a note, apologising for this and asking me to contact him. Since he admitted the fault, we sent the quote for repairs etc. directly to his brokerage AON, who then forwarded it to Lion of Africa.
After months of lost forms and delays my claim was eventually repudiated. The reason for this was stated as follows: "According to the information at our disposal, the door was blown by the wind. We therefore deny liability, as this was the Act of ".
Never mind the incomprehensible reasoning for the above, but also the way the letters were written, the mistakes, the lack of care and non-existence of any general service etiquette were simply baffling.
Sadly it's companies like this who give the insurance profession a bad name... cause they seem to do whatever it takes to get out of paying a claim.
