I went to Absa to settle my credit card, got there, and stood in the Enquiry Line for more than 20mins, and it was not alot of people, but only 2 Absa employees were assiting at a time. after the 20min wait, the girl on the floor, comes and asks me my reason for being there, told i i want to settle the account, she says i should come with her, and gave me a settling amount, so there's 20mins i wont get back. here's the cherry on the cake, so i deposit the settlement amount, call the card division, and i am told, the if i settle my account with a cash deposit, i need to pay an addition R40 for that, but an internet transfer from a absa account is free..., R40 is not alot of money, but the fact that i had to pay them, in order for me to deposit money doesnt make sense at all. i will NEVER bank with them again, and will let people know about this, being in the banking industry myself, showed how pathetic absa really is... best believe the word will be spread!!! ABSA
