YOU ADVERTISE AN INTEREST RATE BUT CHARGE HIGHER

I received my Credit Card statement by e-mail and noticed that the advertised interest rate for a Discovery Gold card should be 18.7%! I then checked the rate I am charged and discovered it to be 1.65% higher!!

I then phoned the call center and spoke to Tracy Khanalya and she told me due to my credit rating my interest rate would increase and decrease periodically. This has not happened once since 2008?? I asked her to how I go about changing the interest rate charged and she said the only way is to upgrade to a platinum card, which I don't qualify for yet.

Why advertise something and then make excuses not to honor your advertisement?
