Interest not explained

I paid my credit card before due date i was charged interest of R248 when i query they say i under paid by 30 cents no one can explain the detail of the interest charged. They also charged debt protection which i did not ask fori have been trying to get a sensible answer for weeks not a stupid answer which i am getting.
