I have been a loyal customer with MiWay for seversl years, but not anymore. After being in the process of purchadsng a new car I wanted to first find out how much MiWay would quote me as a current customer with an existing policy, to my dissapointment they quoted me almost double to what iam currently paying for my existing vehicle insurance. I subsequently was transferred to the supervisor to reduce the amount and provide me with a lower premium. They were still not able to beat my quote from an alternative insurer and told them that I do not accept the proposed quote and that SHOULD I PURCHASE A NEW VEHICLE I WILL SOURCE ALTERNATIVE INSURANCE. To my horror however I discovered today after purchasing my new vehicle and finalising my new insurance I obviously had to cancel my existing cover on my vehicle that I am trading in. I contacted MiWay to notify them to please cancel my existing policy effective immediately because the vehicle is being traded in and I have insurance cover for the new vehicle with an altrnative insurer, only to be told SORRY MA'AM BUT YOUR INSURANCE HAS BEEN CANCELLED ALREADY ON YOUR VEHICLE YESTERDAY!!! I never consented this?!
