Why was I refused???

I wanted to apply for credit from Dion Wired store in Tyger Valley but I was refused. I could not understand this at all as both my wife and I don't have much debt and earn OK salaries. The agent could not give me a explanation as to why and asked me to contact the credit bureau's, which I did. I looked through it and found nothing wrong, I in fact got a very good credit rating. Then they told me to try again in 6 months. Why was I refused credit when I earn a salary of R17500 pm, and all my expenses come to only R5000pm? Can someone please contact me and explain this to me?
