Standard Bank
Application declined for bad reason

My husband and I have been loyal Standard Bank customers for at least 20 years each. My husband has a nearly paid up bond with Std Bank on our current home. We have both had vehicle finance with Std Bank.
We are both in very good financial positions. We are frugal, careful with money and responsible. Between us, we have significant assets. We are both professional people with university degrees. Notwithstanding, Std Bank has rejected our Bond App outright because my husband is self employed and has only been running his business for one and a half years! They have considered NO other factors. This is the last straw STANDARD BANK. My customer loyalty has run out. My money is going elsewhere. No wonder so many people switch to FNB!!!
