No reply to cancel policy

I've had a funeral policy with SBSA for many years, but this year decided to cancel it. As I looked through the website to see how to do this, I came across benefits that I could use the policy for, that I never knew about. I sent an email to find out more (before I cancel it), and got a reply from Mosele Nombebe, but wasn't happy with what I got as a reply and decided to cancel the policy anyway. Mosele confirmed that I can cancel it with an email request and a copy of my ID attached. On 9 January I sent this request through and received not even an automated response. I then sent a follow up cancellation request (with original email) on 17 January and to date have still not had any response at all! On 22 January I sent a complaint via the Standard Bank website and even there nobody has contacted me at all. The premium has now come off my account and I'm really becoming frustrated by this utter lack of service. Is it really so hard to cancel a policy??!!??
