Not Responding to solve matters amicably

I owed one month on my homeloan and I called Nedbank legal to try and settle the amount I was sent from one person to another, they could not tell me how much I owedand wanted to force me to make monly instalments arrangement when I wanted to pay the arreas immediately.
I was later sent to lawyers who threaten to take my house and sell it. I wanted to pay the areeas but they dont allow that now they have brought in high legal fees so that I cannot afford to pay and make the arrangement as they wanted me to.
I want to pay the one month instalment I owe but they refuse.
