"My Way" or the highway!!

I am a third party claim, and have been passed from pillar to post, process has taken 2 months and to date unresolved. I was instructed to send 3 quotes with other docs, which I did. My Way assessor checked my vehicle and offered his own assessment of damages, presumably based on My Way choice of repairers pricing schedule, Great South Autobody. Eventually, they offered me a settlement figure of R 4020.00 less than quotes I had submitted and said that I must use their choice of repairers, viz GSA. I approached GSA and was told that they can not repair vehicle for settlement amount.
a) Why did I have to give them 3 quotes to begin with when they want me to use their choice of repairers.
b) Why can their repairers not repair the vehicle at their settlement figure.
c) As a prospective client, why should I be treated as anything less, and be expected to just accept their decision.

I cannot and will not recommend My Way in any way, and sincerely hope that their client reconsiders his continued relationship with them.
