I have been a Standard Bank customer for years and yes it does pain me to see the slew of complaints against them. But I experienced the total lack of service this week. I made an EFT payment on Sunday night to another Standard Bank client. The money went out of my account immediately and by yesterday morning, it was still NOT reflecting in their account. I called Greenstone on Monday who told me it takes 24 hours to clear? Really? Then I called again yesterday to be told I must go into the branch to log a query for me! I was pro-active and sent an email directly to "Complaints Resolution Centre". I got a stock auto response at 08:48 and after that NADA. So once again took matters in my own hands and called 0860 101 101 who was able to explain exactly what had happened. All those bank fees every month and not even basic service. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Don't respond Std bank - sorted it out all by MYSELF.
