Dial Direct Insurance

I took out this insurance on my Dads home when he went into frail care. Dial Direct was made aware of this. Now that i have had to make a claim they denied the claim and said that due to the " property being vacant ' they have to cancel the policy. Most houses on the South Coast of Natal are vacant for most of the year as they are holiday homes. It seems insane that a company would take your company for many months and then be allowed to almost " black list ' you with insurance companies based on something they were informed of from the vert start. I have gone through their contract and can find no grounds for cancellation at all.
The assessor maintains the gate motor was old however it was put in the last 14 months at least. So this is not old at all. The fence was knocked down during a huge storm that ravaged the South Coast of Natal and a tree fell through the gate. The policy states we are covered for water or storm damage.
The standard fifth amendment rules of Dial Direct is unacceptable.
