FNB - cannot help me - taking sutomers for granted

Business & Finance

I have not been able to use my credit card from the 29/12/2013 to date. Every time I try to swipe - the store says the machine cannot read the chip which could be the fault of the store or its machine but every time I try to draw at the ATM I get a "chip reader failed" error. When I called the call centre today I get told by Nicolene/Nicolette that the system records every error so since she cannot pick up any recorded failed errors there is nothing wrong with my card. after slowly and painfully having to repeat several times that I am physically holding several ATM slips from FNB ATMs in my hand that say chip reader failed - she tells me that I must go back to the ATM to try again because they had ATM issues in December?? what about the stores errors I had? Then I must call them back. Now I must run around to prove what I already have proof of? I have all the slips! then she goes on to tell me that I must not forget if I get a new card, I wont be able to use it for 3-5 days. What on earth kind of difference would that make seeing as how I have not been able to use it for three weeks already! was that comment supposed to change my mind about needing a card that actually works?
