Money Withdrawal but no money came out

My husband withdrew money on 02/01/2014 however no money came out. He then went inside the bank and they told him that according to his account the amount was withdrawn. He was then told to report it and will receive his money within 4 days. After which he received a sms stating his claim was unsuccessful. he was then told to lay a complaint at the Resolution Department. To which we have not received a response. I have laid a complaint on the website however I have no received a response. The amount drawn was R4000. This has put my family in a predicament as we are currently without electricity, i was unable to go to work yesterday as i didnt have money for petrol. we have been a client with Nedbank for years and NEVER experienced such pathetic service from them. I fully intend on telling my husband to change back to Nedbank.
A year ago the same thing happened to my mom also at a Standard Bank ATM and never got her money back.
If this complaint does not have satifactory results i intend on suing Standard Bank for Damages and all the stress that this has put us through.
