Terrible service relating to a defective item

I bought a Mellerware stick blender online from the ebucks shop in May 2012. A few months later, I noticed that it wasn't working properly. It got worse with time until I finally had enough and called the eBucks call centre 3 weeks ago to report the defective item. I was told that my query will be sent to the 'Spend' dept who will contact me within 48hrs. 3 days passed and I called back asking why nobody made any effort to call me back. I was put on hold for 10 mins only to be told they haven't had feedback from the 'Spend' dept yet but my query will be escalated to a manager. I have since made at least 6 calls to the ebucks call centre speaking to numerous people pretending to be supervisors/ managers, each time putting me on hold for at least 10 mins and the response is always the same 'We're awaiting feedback from dept x, y or z. None of them call back! Each time I hear how the Spend dept isn't getting back to them OR the supplier hasn't given feedback yet and the latest is that the Repairs dept. haven't provided feedback yet. Passing the buck does not begin to explain my experience!
eBucks should stop promoting their online store because the after sale service is less than zero
