Travelex 'quotes' are a lie

Travelex offer a facility where you can order your forex online, they give you an 'indicative quote' and 'prepare the currency for collection' - in my case at the OR Tambo branch. What I was not expecting, was that once I got through security into the duty free area, the rates they give you are over R1 / Euro to the quoted value. The scrolling banners in the airport store have no relationship to the values online - I compared them while I was standing in the store waiting. On an order of 1500 Euros the amount I had to pay suddenly jumped up a full R1800 - despite an improvement in the rand in the day since my order. The assistant spent over an hour fiddling with the transaction (which still ended up costing R600 more than the quoted value) even though I had received a phone call the previous day confirming that the forex was ready for collection - leaving me rushing to get to the boarding gate in time.
