How do you cancel an Absa to Absa Debit Order?

On 29 Nov. 2013 I went to the Absa Fund Managers (Unit Trusts) office in Kempton Park to Repurchase Unit Trusts.
I specifically asked whether any further Debit Orders will go through my bank account for this Unit Trust and was assured none would be processed. I also have a printout that states "Cancel Active Debit Orders: YES".

Guess what? On 27 Dec. 2013 a Debit Order iro these Unit Trusts did go though my Bank Account.

I first phoned Absa Fund Managers on Service Line 0860 111 456 and was told the Debit Order takes 40 (Forty) days to clear. Really in this day and age it takes so long to clear? They could not help me. Next I phoned Absa Bank in Kempton Park (my branch) and was promptly told by the lady who answered the phone I have to visit a branch to fill out a form to cancel this cancelled Debit Order. On Saturday 4 January 2014 I visited the Festival Mall Branch of Absa only to be told by a very disinterested female that she could not help me.

Where do I go from here? Do I just leave the matter and allow Absa to continue to take money from my Bank Account for Unit Trusts which have been repurchased and the account closed?
