Finding reason not to payout claim

Logged claim on 5th December of TV, pots, clothes, shoes and other household items being. Spend the whole of Christmas waiting for the claim to be finalised ONLY to find out today, 06 January 2014, one month later, they will not pay! One reason why I never wanted to have insurance. Why do you have to fight to get paid out???
