Discovery Insure
False promises

I was involved in a car accident and the vehicle was written off. It has taken Discovery almost a month to finalise my claim and the only reason this was finalised is because i have had to call every single day to get an update.
Eventually the update was yes we will pay you out but because you have not disclosed that you lodged a claim at my previous insurance provider we will not be paying out the full amount. Having explained to them that I haven't claimed from MiWay before other then for a windscreen. It turns out that they referring to a claim which i originally did want to claim against but soon cancelled the claim. The claim would have costed me R2500 access whereas i could get my car fixed for R800 as it was a small dent.
I was told to take this up with MiWay as they have it listed as a claim on the system and hence it reflects on Discovery's system.
I find all of this information rather puzzling. From day one they have been looking for loopholes not to payout on this claim.
Note that once tis has been paid out (even though not in full) I will be cancelling all of my products with Discovery as I no longer want to be associated with the brand that is so unethical.
