UNAUTHORISED DEBIT ORDERS ACCEPTED

Business & Finance

Now, with new technology, apparently your bank can now allow random people to send through debit orders to be deducted from your account.
no proof of signature, no phone call to ask for authorisation from the owner of the account - nothing!
it is now accepted, and when you phone to find out about the debit order, the bank has the audacity to tell you, THEY are not authorised to stop the debit order, i must phone and sort it out with the company that processed the debit order -!!!
My money, my earned money, is no longer safe in the hands of a bank!
so it is ok, so in other words, i can turn around and state that i cannot pay my credit card, loan (whatever) because the bank is authorising random debit orders, and i can no longer afford anything.
i want a solution to prove that my money is safe and what i earn or spend is up to me, and not up to every tom or harry to withdraw from my account at their or the banks discretion. It seems the Customer Protection act is only applicable when it suites the Companies!!!
WHAT IS THE BANK GOING TO DO TO PROTECT ME!!!
SINCE THE BANK WANTS MONEY FROM ME, WHAT DO I GET!!!
