ABSA ALLOWING DEBIT ORDERS WITHOUT CLIENT AUTH

This is the second time it's happened on my account, and ABSA has the attitude that it's the customer's responsibility to sort it out. Debit orders goes off my account which I DID NOT authorise, nor do I even know the companies that are debiting my account. The previous time I had to ask time off work because I HAD to go to the bank to sort it out. and I will not do it again, nor will I make any phone calls to suppliers who deducted the money from my account. It's not the client's responsibility, unless it was my own wrongdoing. I specifically asked them at the bank to put a stop to any debit orders I DID NOT authorise. This makes me question the fact of "how safe are our money with ABSA", and what am I paying expensive bank fees for? I phoned the call centre nr this morning who promised me I would get a phone call back, which did not happen. I expect ABSA to fix this immediately, because this is unacceptable for a bank to play around with people's hard earned money. It is the bank's responsibility to make sure a client in fact authorised a debit order.
