I have complained before about Absa and closing my accounts, they contacted me and told me how to go about closing the account. For the credit card I needed to go into the branch, I did this on the 11th of Dec, and they said it takes up to 24 hours and someone will contact me to finalize the details. I told them I would be away and if they could contact me on the 18th when I was back. 100% no problem they said. Needless to say they didn't contact me. I guess I can't be surprised, this bad service is the reason I'm leaving them
