Slow Response and Passing the Buck

Business & Finance

4th August hail storm smashed my asbestos roof over laundry. I live in complex. Every time I spoke to Dean at IZA he said he needed to speak to the Assessor and I mean every time. Eventually I met with Gawie the Assessor in December 2012. I was going on leave and my laundry leaked due to the asbestos roof being damaged with hail. Since contractors were going on leave 15th Dec and I was going on leave 18th Dec Gawie had to do something quickly. Hence a patch up job was done to stop the leaking while I was away with a promise that it would be fixed 100% in New Year. Lots of excuses were given, no asbestos, no contractors. End of Jan 2013 I phoned to speak to Gawie and he said a contractor would be out last week to do the repairs. Last week came and went without anything - not even a phone call from Gawie!!! Friday 4.30pm a contractor met with me and said he could do the job today Sunday 3rd Feb providing authorisation was given - AGAIN nothing. The buck stops at Gawie's desk. WHY HAS IT TAKEN 6 MONTHS FOR AUTHORISATION TO BE GIVEN? I am disgusted to say the least. When I spoke to Board of Trustees Secretary she said 'this is ridiculous' and would contact Gawie to sort this out.
