Recoveries

I was in Jhb for business and noted the pot holes. I was told if the vehicle is damaged one can claim from the municipalities insurance.

My logic tells me if I contact my insurer. Your recoveries would surely recover costs from the municipality.

It follows that it makes more sense for me to go to the municipality directly instead of incurring cost.

Nobody appears to know who to talk to or what to do. Was sent from Recoveries (Digicore/Europassist??) to Legal to Exilti and then to the call centre for claims.

Please can someone advise so I and other readers/clients know what to do in the event of an accident.involving a failure to maintain roads by the municipality.
