I previously reported an issue with regard to my claim for my late husbands funeral cover which he had taken with Standard bank. I had explained that when he took the cover he was told with me present that there would be a 6 month waiting period, Standard bank has paid part of the claim but are still giving me a hard time with paying the additional free benefits that were supposed to be part of the policy. I received a call Charlene who requested that i send her the documents regarding the policy I had, indeed i did that. I received a message from Standard bank saying that the issue was resolved and that I would receive a call back I am still waiting for feedback from Standard bank. I emailed Charlene informing her of the mail I received she knew nothing about it and said she doesn't think that the situation will change. My issue when my husband signed up for the funeral cover we were told that the waiting period was 6 months, nothing was mentioned about 18 months and when Standard bank sent me a letter telling me that they were not paying they are telling me about Liberty. Is this how Standard bank operates I am so disappointed having lost my husband and now having to chase them.
