Phoned the call center before 13h00 on 24/12/2013 to request same day payment and settlement to supplier. Kevashni Naidoo said all was fine and took my instructions via the service suite call centre. I confirmed instruction via e-mail. My account was debited with R1, 09 million on the same day. On 27/12/2013 our supplier could not release our goods to be loaded on the ship for export to Ghana as the funds are still not in their account. If the funds do not reach the supplier, goods for export will not be released and we will have to pay penalties at Durban harbor for loading on the weekend. There may also be penalties or the contract may be cancelled due to the late delivery. The call center staff placed my call on hold several times for sometimes 6 minutes at a time, without responding to me. They promised to phone me back and did not. They just did not seem to care at all. It was a comedy of errors demonstrating badly trained staff and even worse trained supervisors.
