On 2nd Dec '12 I had someone drive into my gate and wall and i reported this to Standard Bank on the 3rd Dec '12. I had to call four times before being able to speak to someone. This after the first three attempts resulted in being cut off after holding on for over 10 minutes for each attempt. I subsequently manage to lodge my claim and get the possessor out and got a contractor appointed. Now this is where everything started to go wrong, horribly wrong. To date, the small repair work has not been completed. Firstly, the contractor makes appoints and never honours them and does not even bother to contact you to cancel or reschedule. After each appointment not honoured, I called StandardBank too complain and the next day the contractor comes out and works for a day or two and then disappears. The same happens, i call STANDARD Bank again (each time holding on for over 10 minutes) and going through the same motions. Rubble was left outside my yard for many days despite arranging for it to be removed. I eventually had to arrange for it to be removed myself at a cost of R350 as it was damaging my garden and i had to use that space. Live electrical wires were left exposed in my yard
