I took out a new bond with Absa-on signing the docuemnts i stated, i would be getting my own private insurance. I wanted to claim for hail damage. I was suprised to find out that i was in fact insured with Absa aswell. I went ahead and lodged a claim and at the same time cancelled the insurance.
putting through a claim on the 22 November-an assessor came through a few days later.and that was the last we had heard from absa. Ive tried calling numerous times to follow up on the claim-on average i have to wait 40minutes before hanging up the call-due to work issues. I tried calling the complaints centre-again held for ever-finally get through to a lady and she puts through a request to follow up and if i had not got a call back within 24hrs i should call and lodge a complaint.that was monday. It is now thursday and i have not even heard from the claims or complaints department..
My biggest issue is that the longer the claim takes -i will need to extend the claim as the leak is now damaging my wooden floors
I am shocked at terrible service -no feed back-ive heard that absa insuarnce is shocking-and im now witnessing it myself.
