ABSA, the "service" provider without SERVICE!

I submitted a claim on damaged cupboards in 12/2012. Normal procedure would be to appoint an assessor, right? Not when you are insured by ABSA!! A contractor was sent to my residence to "assess" the damage! He continued to damage the cupboard even further by ripping of the laminated film on the affected area.

It is 6 MONTHS later and until now we haven't heard anything from Absa's claim department regarding our claim as well as the "aspiring contractor"!

This is unacceptable and I strongly recommend that anyone who might be interested in good service from their insurance provider in the event of a claim, steer way clear of Absa and all their associated sub contractors!
