After my Wife had purchased a used vehicle from Daihatsu, Kempton Park. We were assured by the dealership that the car had been kept up to date with its services had a warranty although the dealership could not produce a service book, nor manual, nor spare key at the time of sale. After politely being pushed to sign the deal by Daihatsu and also in desperate need of a vehicle, my wife signed and we took the vehicle from the dealership and were told that the service book, manual and spare key should be there in the next week or so, that was on November 1 2013. 2-3 weeks later, the service book and manual arrived but no spare key. The service book was not even stamped once. We found out that the warranty had lapsed due to the vehicle not being serviced. we have been up and down with emails to Wesbank who seem to be passing the buck as to this date. Wesbank, as per the previous email - NOT a cent will be paid for this vehicle until we either have a factory warranty or the dealership in question takes the car back!!! If needs be, we will persue this case further, right to the Motor federation of SA! And beyond!
