No response whatsoever after signing up

I was enticed by a TV add and referred to 1st for woman by 2 friends. After being lured into signing up by a sales consultant via telephone, I did *worst mistake* and cancelled my policy with Auto &General. The only reason why I decided to switch is because 1st for woman was R400.00 cheaper. It's been a disaster ever since.
1. I was promised that they would contact Tracker on my behalf, more than 1 week has passed and nobody has done so.
2. I was promised a call back to confirm a few details necessary to activate my cover, however after leaving more than 10 messages nobody could assist me or call me back.
3. When I called to threaten to cancel the consultant simply agreed and explained the procedure to me even though I explained that I ALREADY CANCELED with my previous insurer and that I have signed up less than 1 week ago! He did not even attempt to fix it and have me keep the policy.

If this is the service after just over 1 week, I can't imagine how painful it will be dealing with them! I would like feedback in this regard otherwise I will take this matter further to compensate for the time, inconvinience and phone call that I incured.
