Stopped a debit order 2 months ago. Last month it went off, but STD Bank reversed immediately. This month no reversal. Call 0860123107, key in card number and CSP. They don't tell you to have a pen handy to record the reference given. Then you reach a consultant. Why do I key in my details, and then he/she does not know who to speak to.

No reference number, go back to key in your card no and CSP - again. Back to call center. Oh, now I am in the wrong department (Sorry your sms tells me to phone this number 0860123107!). Transfer you to the right dept Sir. Please key in your card number and CSP - again. Ok, now we cut you off.

Call in again - please key in your card number and CSP. Get the reference number this time - yay! I happen to get the same consultant, and tell him that I was cut off. Oh so sorry, hold on I will get the right person and then transfer you. Sorry, cut you off again.

So send secure message via internet banking. Now we wait, because last time I sent a secure message, nobody called back - ever!

If FNB can do half of what they say, they should be a better option. My wife banks with them, and she has never had to deal with this. Even transferring a Paypal acc
