Bruma Finance

I applied for a loan online and was told that Bruma Finance will contact me. I received an sms from them today, 31/01/2013 stating the following: "Bruma Finance would like to offer you a LOAN, please contact Portia (Tel) 0113597166, (Fax) 0872334933, (E-mail) [Email Removed]
I contacted Portia at 12:22 and when I told her that I worked on the mine, she said that they do not help anybody working on a mine with loans due to the Marikana incident.
I would like to know:
1) if this applies to everybody working on a mine, and if so, are they willing to proof this?
2) why do they discriminate against people working on mines because of an incident that happened which they were not part of
