I am currently on hold for 18 minutes and 58 seconds... 19 minutes and 11 seconds... and I have only managed to speak to one person who, unfortunately, could not help me but happily transferred me... holding again... still holding. The first number I had for this department... that I got from Standard Bank's correspondence to me, being 011 227 5306, just rings without any answer (I tried 8 times through the course of the morning). I then googled to get a different number, and here I am still holding 22 minutes and 55 seconds later. almost half an hour and I have not even managed to speak to someone who could assist me with this deceased estate vehicle finance query. Standard bank has just wasted half an hour of my work day. Oh sorry... probably much more because after I submit this complaint I will have to continue holding because I have to do my job. What a waste of time. And what a frustration. Oh it is now 28 minutes and 33 seconds... and counting. (Unfortunately I have one of those phones that tells you how long your call is)... 33 minutes and 47 seconds. Really?
