1 month and still no card received

I opened a Smart account telephonically with Katlego on 11 November (almost a month ago), and was told that a courier would contact me within 5-7 days to deliver my card. On 13 Nov, I got an SMS with the account number thanking me for opening the account. On 24 Nov, when my card still had not arrived, I phoned 087 575 9404 and was told by a woman (didn't catch her name) that someone would phone me the next day. This also proved to be a lie.
On 7 Nov, I phoned the hotline again. Genevieve was very kind and although she said she could not activate the account herself, she'd follow up personally on Monday. I hope this is true, but FNB has broken too many promises already for me to leave it to chance. I need the account today, not Monday, but cannot even get onto internet banking until a card is delivered.
I trust that I will be receiving some drastic refunds of my bank charges to make up for the enormous inconvenience.
