A few weels ago we claimed from our brokers for A and G for a new windscreen for our bakkie, thinking they would send one of our local winscreen suppliers. However this bunch from Jhb arrived. They seemed to get on with the job and left, after taking a tip from stupid me. A week or so later, I noticed that the rubber seal was sticking out, and it couldn't be put back in. I went to Glass Fit and see if they could sort it out for me. The helpful staff looked at it and just shock their heads. They had reused the original rubber seal, cut the think piece off and just put it around the glass with no glue or anything holding it in. It was going to cost R1500 for Glass Fit to fix it. We had already paid R750 excess. They siliconed the rubber strip on, and we phoned the insurance. hey sent an assessor out who said the whole thing was wrong, the glass was slipping and we needed a new rubber seal. They would phone us in a day or two. A week later we got a phone call to say they would be here on Wednesday. They arrived and said there was nothing wrong with the rubber. Anyway they started the job, only to be told they had the wrong rubber and would be back that day. Still waiting.
