African Bank
Doing credit checks on my name

I am very upset with the fact that African bank has been doing credit checks on me. I have never applied for anything through African Bank. I keep getting sms's that I qualify to skip a payment on my loan or an extension. I called the call centre a number of times and was told that I should ignore the sms if I do not have accounts with African Bank, I recently went into African Bank in South Gate to see if I have anything on the system as I was concerned with the sms's I kept getting. Again I was told that there is no record of me on the system. When I drew a credit report today it shows that African Bank done credit checks on my profile, I want to know why they done this and who gave them permission. I want it removed as I never dealt with them before and I don't plan on dealing with them as their rates is ridiculous in any case. This has an impact on my credit scoring and in the end will reflect that I am looking for credit all over when in fact credit checks is being conducted without my consent!!! Please sort this out as I am not a client of African Bank and as far as I know I never applied for anything through African Bank!!!
