Unethical business practice

To whom it may concern. i am extremely annoyed at this point. i called Miway for a quote on household and vehicle insurance, i was then advised by the sales consultant pauline that i was insured with them before about 4 years ago and apparently they cancelled my policy due to misrepresenation!! this is the first i hear of this, i called to cancel my policy with Miway years ago as i took other insurance ans wasnt happy with their service. i received no written communication or telephone communication notifying me of this accusation! i refuse to acknolwedge or accept this accusation since this is one of an intergrious natiure! i would like this matter cleared up and i want full feedback before i process a complaint with the ombudsman department.
according to the fais law, a client needs to be notified in writting of any cancellation within 30 days and this was not done. Pauline was not helpful and had a dont care attitude! she did not even give reasons! NO EXPLAINATION. my ingregrity is being accused and then NO explaination. i am going to seek legal advise regarding this matter as this is unacceptable business practice.
