Damage claim due to burglary totally ignored

I was the victim of an attempted burglary on two occasions in early October 2013. After reporting only the second attempt to the police at the Bainsvlei police station in Bloemfontein on 15 October I filed a telephonic claim under my ABSA Homeowner's Comprehensive Insurance policy for damage done to my security door and front entrance door. Continental Services (tel: 0184685704) were appointed as assessors. According to Ms Ilze Maritz at Continental Services the Job Card (ref 14540) and Clearance Certificate was sent to ABSA on 6 Nov. 2013. The claims handler according to the Job Card is Annah Kwanaite. I have not received any payment from ABSA with which to pay the contractor as agreed with Continental Services. The contractor completed the job on 11 Nov. More than 7 weeks has passed since the burglary took place on 14 Oct 2013 and the claim has still not been settled! I have phoned ABSA Insurance and spoken to numerous people (Steven Rampya, Onica Brown, Salamina Mahlangu) as well as emailing them (Mandy van Eck) numerous times and have to date not heard a thing from anyone indicating what the status of my claim is! The contractor is on my back for the R5130 I owe him!
