NEDBANK DELAY COST ME OVER R10K FOR 1 TRANSACTION

On the 26th of November I released my VAT payment from the Nedbank online banking profile. To release this payment I requested assistance from Nedbank (I spoke to Sihle Mdlalose the RBB Service Consultant who confirmed that the payment went through and followed up with e-mailed confirmation) as this was a new system which was implemented. Nedbank assisted me in releasing the payment and even provided me with a written confirmation reference number 658 444 32

This payment was due and payable by 29 November 2013, however due to a technical problem in Nedbank's system the payment was not made. SARS therefore charged me with penalties of over R10 800 and counting (this increases daily).

Nedbank has refused to take responsibility for their lack of service delivery and I am still waiting for this issue to be resolved after wasting an entire day at the Nedbank cresta branch.

While Nedbank wastes time my SARS penalty is growing each day. Not only has this still not been resolved but they have the cheek to say it is my responsibility to monitor the effectiveness of their system.

I will be looking to take my business to a more reliable bank this is unacceptable. I demand a refund.
