First National Bank
Deducted a lump sum from my account with NO warnin

Business & Finance

FNB deducted R3016.00 from my FNB cheque account on 29/11/2013 with NO notification or authorisation to do that, needless to say this has left me with a risk of having my debit orders dishonoured. I then went into FNB Highveld Mall to have it reversed, I was told they couldn't reverse it and called the call centre. The agent said the lump sum was to settle my smartspend loan from 2010, which has been in arrears. She further said it was impossible to reverse when I requested that they reversed it and debited an amount I would arrange with them. She was adamant they wouldn't, and said they had tried to call me and I hung up, which was the report on their system. I need to have this debit order reversed as I will not be getting paid again until 20th December and I Do NOT get a 13th cheque, with the chunk of R3000 taken from my account I just cannot make ends meet. The problem I have is this: I never hang up on calls, what I do, however, is ask callers to call again later when I am driving, which is frequent. A lot of times I also struggle with reception when I am at the sites. Why o deduct all the money now, when they had access to my bank account all the time? FNB client for 19 years
