Got hammered with a ridiculous premium increase recently and decided to move elsewhere for buildings/facilities insurance.
I was warned by the new insurer about exactly this type of situation and got everything sorted out and finalized well in advance to avoid this.
I confirmed it over and over and everything was apparently in order after I received my cancellation notifications letter on 23 September 2013 stating that the policy will be cancelled with effect 1 October 2013. Yet still 2 weeks later when the amended debit order went off, it still included the outsurance premium.
Phoned the home loans department, was informed that a refund would be done, still waiting.
Queried the refund with outsurance as well, still waiting.
The last query I sent, I even asked if it was really necessary to have to resort to hellopeter/facebook, asked and answered...
Bottom line, outsurance of FNB messed up and money was taken from me and given to outsurance in error.
I want it back or at least some form of feedback.
