I have motorcar insurance with Standard Bank. On 28 October I was caught in a very bad hailstorm. My windscreen was cracked in two places and the bodywork damaged. I immediately lodged a claim with the insurer and got a claim number (1100388551) on 1 November. I took the car to the assessor as instructed on 5 November. Since then I have only had information when I have asked for it and am still waiting to be told when and where to take my car for repairs. The agent is not helpful and the call centre is terrible. You wait for a long time while the worst ever music is played over and over. No manager or supervisor is ever available - either in meetings, not in the office or on the phone. I am at the end of my patience. The windscreen is dangerously damaged and the car needs to be repaired!
