I went into ABSA 30th of October 2013 (wrong date was given on email to ABSA) to close all my ABSA accounts because of poor service.

After talking to 3 different people al 3 different counters (enquiries, teller and customer cursive) AND paying all my accounts up to date (including cancellations fee's) I was told I cannot close my credit card in the bank itself, I have to call in.

After trying numerous time to get to the cancellation call center I eventually reached another operator who first took all my information, and then told me that the cancellation department is not available. She insured me that I would be called back within 5 working days.

Up to date I HAVE NOT been called back. 11 November I get a statement indicating that I owe R2.20 on my Credit card.

I then sent an email explaining the situation to ABSA on 11 November. I received an email back indicating that they will get back to me within 5 working day. I still have heard nothing from them.

This is shocking service. ABSA would you please see to it that I get called to close my account. I also hope that you do not expect me to pay the R2.20 since I did everything from my side possible to close my account.
