What happened? Or rather what did not happen. Absa is absolutely useless.

I put in a claim for a leaking roof more that a week ago. They told me I would have feedback within 48h it has been 216h and no one has contacted me.

The ceiling is about to collapse on my furniture, but Absa is just pulling up their shoulders. Calling the claims department is an absolute waste of time.

I did manage to speak to someone in some sort of a call centre (which does not form part of the claims department) who told me that i need to fix the roof at my own costs, keep the invoice and Absa will reimburse me afterwards.

Yeah right, like I am going to get any reimbursement from a bank who does not even have common courtesy of calling you back.

I will however for the sake of my furniture get someone to come and fix the ceiling and at the same time cancel my property insurance with Absa and move to another company.

I'm almost certain that Cashbuild will give better client service than Absa.
