After my husband's passing in April SET was appointed as the executors of the estate as per his will. Not only did they never conduct an interview with me (the sole heir), but they also expect me to provide them with all the valuation certificates on fixed property and vechiles etc (which in my ignorance I thought was the job of the executors) Furthermore no help or any communication in helping me to obtain said certificates. I made a request to them 6 months ago for an advance on the estate for maintenance of myself and my minor children. Only after lodging a complaint through my local branch last week did I get a response. My question on when the money will be available (remember the original request was made six months ago), the response was that they will let me know. In the meantime I can not pay my children's school fees and battle to pay my bills and put food on the table. It really is a sad state of affairs that while you don't seem to be important enough for them to answer queries promptly or keep you in the loop, they still claim their 3 % executors fee
