Declining card after full payment

The full balance outstanding on my card account, was paid in full by transfer on 16 Nov. Still 4 days after this full payment, my card is declined when I try to pay with it. On top of this they charge a R7.00 fee every time they decline the card. I have been a customer for over 10 years, paying in full every month, and have purchased many hundreds of thousands worth of goods with my card in that time, but this means nothing to them.
