First National Bank
Up To 55 days interest Free Cr Card - RUBBISH

Business & Finance

I have been a loyal FNB premier client for many years now, and use my Cr card for most of my monthly transactions. Every month I pay my balance in full -last payment 25 Oct 2013

In November I was overseas on holiday and returned back 2 days after the apparent pay date (26 Nov 2013) and again made full payment of my cr card on the 28th of Nov. But this should not be a problem because I have up to 55 days interest free on my cr card and according to my calculations from the 25th Oct - 28th Nov 2013 - 55 days had not elapsed yet. But no on the 4th Dec I see an interest charge to my acc. Upon phoning the call centre all I get is "that if you do not pay in full by the pay date due (by the way i did Pay my card in full on the 8 Nov 2013 - which by my calculations is also pre the 26th of Nov 2013) you will be charged interest - so 55 days (I'm sorry - up to 55 days) interest free is in fact a fallacy - Could you please change your client facing marketing material to truthfully explain (that practically no one had 55 days and that a best it is only 31 days - however long that month is) the the small print in the terms and conditions, and reverse the interest charged to my cr card.
