Disgusted in the treatment I have received

I'm not very please at this point and have reached my tether with Standard bank, no people's skills and no ability of offering any friendly customer service whatsoever.

My problem started in August, 16. Went to an ATM machine to withdraw cash, my card was "swallowed". Followed protocol and went straight to the branch, reported the incident at about 10:00 am if not earlier. At 12:21pm R4000.00 had been withdrawn from the very account that I had earlier reported.

Had to go back and forth to Standard Bank umpteen times trying to resolve my problem and anticipating that my query would be resolved. To which I was handed Ombudsman forms and told to complete and return it to the branch. On my return, I was then advised that it would be to no avail and indirectly told that it was my own fault. That I would have been reimbursed if I was not at the ATM that day. How ludicrous, does that sound?

Emailed their customer relations department, unsuccessful, received a failure notice, so who do I complain to?

I have been with Standard Bank for 34 years and this is how you treat a loyal customer! It's appalling.

What has happened to your customer service?

Deeply disappointed.
