RETHINK BEFORE YOU SWITCH TO FNB!!!

I opened an account with FNB a while back and had wonderful service from start to end and the entire process took about a week. I eventually convinced my husband to do the same and he finally did do so mid October 2013 via an online app. After WEEKS of waiting on FNB he finally received his cheque card (18.11.13) but now the card is not active. Upon calling FNB they informed him that he had to RESUBMIT his ID and proof of address (which he then did) and now they are telling him that he needs to go to an ATM and deposit R50 before they can activate the account... Seriously, what is the point then of having "online banking". I have been calling VARIOUS FNB NUMBERS and no one has been able to assist me. What a huge let down FNB, I convinced my husband to join because of your efficiency and all he has experienced is negativity. His employer cant pay money in to his account because the account is not active and all his debit orders have already been switched, so come month end, these will bounce... Pathetic, poor service and such a huge let down. To top it all, the final "correct" number that I was told to call is not active...

Agent opened my account with wrong information
